After 8 months of frustrating dealings with my insurance provider over my claim of damages to my pergola from the severe storm on Christmas day 2023 I disputed the building inspectors findings ,the building inspector was a employee of the subcontracting company who my insurance provider hired to carry out repairs and inspection on their behalf in the state of Queensland he was a absolute joke ,there were no tests done at all and he wrote it off apart from the obvious damage my pergola suffered structural damage causing water leaks from the soffit on the house and rafters of the pergola my insurers sent me an email of their protocols that I am to follow sourcing my repairers and also to provide a report of damage to the pergola linking it to the storm from Christmas day 2023 I contacted Robert from Mecbuilders to come and do an inspection of the damage, Robert turned up on the agreed time upon meeting him he made me fully aware that his report will not be swayed in anyway not siding with me or the insurance purely based on his evidential finds Robert approached the job with years and years of

I’ve used Rob and MEC twice in the last month for building and pest inspections. Both times was a last minute call out; first Rob answered my call over Easter for a last minute building and pest on a tight deadline, the second Rob was fully booked and managed to fit me in in his lunch break prior to the Anzac holiday to make sure we were happy with a property before moving forward at auction on Saturday. The assessment was comprehensive, details of the property explained in detail with consideration to me as the customer and fairness to the vendor/agent relationship.

I definitely recommend Robert for any B&P inspection. I've used his service twice so far and am very happy with his experience, skill, thorough inspection and detailed report. Robert has saved me heaps of money twice on purchasing wrong houses as he picked the red flags and pointed them out. Surely I will use his service again in the future if needed. Even if the Agent has recommended us we still remain ethical and ensure that the inspection is a fair representation that you as our clients require.
